Chana Masala Recipe
I have recently been in love with Indian Cuisine. One of my favorite dishes is Chana Masala. Lucky for me, I found an absolutely delicious, simple and easy Chana Masala Recipe. I followed the recipe almost exactly, but modified it a bit to make it perfect… here are the changes I made to the ingredients list:
Ingredients:
- 2 TB butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can chickpeas (15 ounces – rinse and drain thoroughly)
- 1/2 lemon
(I left out the jalapeno pepper, because my children do not like super spicy food)
Spices:
- 1/2 TB coriander (powder form)
- 1 tsp cumin (also in powder form)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt, to taste
